The Oldest Trees

The same “hiding” situation as with "Mendoncono Tree" is with “Methuselah”-the oldest (4 500 years +) tree (but comparably short) on earth, located somewhere in white mountains area in Sierra Nevada complex, California, just east of Nevada border, in the group of Bristlecone Pines. This unmarked, not very green tree, grows at 10.000-11.000 elevation near the routs of former oldest one that was cut down in mid 70-tees in White-Inyo mountain range.

  The Oldest trees (2)
The second oldest, and world’s most massive  tree  are the  Sequoias - Sequoia N.P. in eastern  California. Their age range up to 3 000 years. Probably  the oldest among them (3.600 years) can be found at camp 6.    General Sherman tree is 274.9 feet  tall, 52.508 cubic ft massive, and 102.6 perimeter –the worlds largest by volume. The world’s widest one –Boole, 113 ft. perimeter- grows at King Canyon N.P. (next to S.N.P.) in King Canyon River Grove.
