One Year Later

March 20.2004, the first anniversary of the
U.S. bombing and invasion of Iraq, millions of people on all continents  participated in a Global Day of Action Against War and Occupation.

That includes included crowds of  100,000 in New York, 50,000 in San Francisco, 10,000 in Chicago, and 4,000 in San Diego. 1 million in Rome, hundreds of thousands in London, Madrid, huge marches from Tokyo to Berlin.

250 U.S. cities saw marches on that day. Here are few pictures (mostly) from Los Angeles, where 20 000 crowded 14 blocks long.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Either we agree with war opposition, or we don’t, or disagree partially (like many of us from today’s point of view), we have to say that movement was very spontaneous and crated protests not seen in US for long years prior and after.
