Hawaii My journey through U.S. continues to Hawaii (Maui)…

Hawaii are worth seeing, especially island Maui (but remember, everything there is more expensive than on main land) Here is what to see there in short time. If you have more days, split the fun, add more activities. DAY1: Definitively drive on “Road to Hanna”, and drive around, although some will tell you to go back the same road. But you CAN go around, the few miles unpaved road is not bad at all.
DAY2: Take underwater submarine from Lahaina, and take it early morning. (it’s goes up is hours back). Later on the day in Lahaina, take Sugar Train, see 2-3 cities museums, and evening time go to see typical for Hawaii dance show “Lele” at 505 Front Street in Lahaina. If you’ll stay more than 4 days, go to see that show another evening. Reservation are required. I recommend that particular show because it has individual (2, 4 people) seating, and it is more fun than sit in group of 20 people. In Lahaina on Front St., little past Baker and Kenui streets, is “Aloha Mixed Plate”-absolutely the best local food, prices ok.
DAY3: go early morning on snorkeling trip (if you want to swim), preferably with Pacifc Whale Foundation-they have the best crew, and are usually cost little less. Later on the day, drive to Haleakala National Park to see the Crater.
DAY 4: drive to Lao Valley (beautiful forest), then around the smaller part of Maui Island on road 340-it’s pretty and it is interesting drive too. From another box: Little Beach (near city of Makena and Big Beach) has far away corner with nudists (both, man and women), I saw them each time I been there. From the main road, look for a big yellow gate (there is couple other smaller yellow gates on the way, ignore them), that goes to that beach.
Why my “to see” listing is little different from widely advertised ones? Because no restaurant, shopping center etc, paid me for saying differently. The small book “Maui Reveled” published by Wizard publications, is a good guide to Hawaii Island.
